Brooks' Truth?

I often grate teeth and spew an expletive, or many, when reading Brooks. Just as often, after I calm down and wipe down the monitor, I end up somewhat agreeing with him. Only somewhat but that speaks volumes. He's very perceptive and I believe he's reasonably honest. Rare qualities in a journalist, these days. This piece, therefore, is a bit of a surprise. I agree in TOTAL with his assessments. Also very timely, coming just one day before the BIG NO. 2 DEBATE. Where goes the world?
